The Liang lab at Michigan State University seeks a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team as a postdoctoral researcher.
Our lab is interested in understanding the molecular basis of autoimmune diseases, with the ultimate goal of finding cures for these debilitating diseases. To achieve this goal, we use a combination of technologies including cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, -omics, animal models and bioengineering approaches, and we work in close collaboration with physician-scientists for translational studies. More details of our work can be found on our website: https://physiology.natsci.msu.ed ... ty/yun-liang-ph-d/.
The specifics of the research project can be flexible, and will be developed to support the continuing career development of the individual. Promoting professional growth is one core value in the Liang Lab. There will be opportunities to develop a career development plan with the principal investigator, to participate in professional development activities, and to build skills that will support career growth.
Successful candidates should have a PhD degree in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, or related field. Expertise in cell biology, -omics or animal work is highly desired. Our lab is funded by several NIH awards, and this position will be supported at the NIH-level.
MSU is one of the top 100 Global Universities (US News and World Report), top 8% World Universities (Times Higher Education), and top 8% universities in the US (The Wall Street Journal).
