佐治亚大学(UGA)脑损伤研究/网络神经科学招收博士生

Dr. Taotao Wu will join the School of Chemical, Material and Biomedical Engineering (CMBE) at the University of Georgia (UGA) as Assistant Professor starting in August 2023, with a secondary appointment (courtesy) in the UGA Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB), after completing the postdoctoral research in the Bioengineering Department at the University of Pennsylvania and receiving a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.

We now have openings for graduate students interested in traumatic brain injury (TBI), network neuroscience, injury biomechanics, neuroimaging, or bioinformatics starting in Spring or Fall 2024. A multidisciplinary research group (NeuraConnect Lab) is being assembled to understand the networked brain through its injury. The imminent research centers on utilizing computational models, animal models, and human data to understand traumatic brain injury and its treatment comprehensively.

Qualified candidates are expected to have a master’s degree (preferred) or bachelor’s degree in engineering or bioinformatics. Students with experience in finite element analysis, machine learning, computational coding, neuroimaging, and in-vivo experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Graduate students will receive full financial support, tuition waiver, funds to attend conferences, and supportive mentorship.
