Responsibilities include:

 

? extensive client communication, including, but not limited to, answering the telephones and confirming appointments;

? preparation of family-based petitions, asylum applications, naturalization applications, and other immigration petitions and applications that involve filling out immigration forms;

? preparation of evidentiary submissions during deportation (removal) cases, such as exhibit lists;

? The preparation of client declarations;

? Maintenance of the office calendar;

? Interpreting for clients;

? Translating Chinese documents into English;

? Copying documentation;

? Processing incoming mail and packages with an immigration attorney;

? Ordering supplies;

? Greeting, gathering information, and documentation from clients;

? In-person filing of items with the Immigration Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Postal Service, the San Francisco Asylum Office, Federal Express, etc.

 

Candidates also must:

? be fluent in English and Chinese;

? Prior experience in immigration law is preferred but not required.

jd已经解释了，这就是个律师楼的办公室助理，连paralegal都不是
TL:DR
典型的华人雇主，最好你中英文都流利，最好你有业界背景，你不光干一部分律师的paper work，还得干办公室助理的破事，为什么要接电话？因为你可能就是唯一的非律师员工：）而且实际上绝对不止这些破事（有没有被我说中？微笑脸）
没有背景当然也ok，要不然为什么不是30起呢？其他福利怎么可能有，律师行业吃人不吐骨头好吗
然后你面对的客户群体都需要你翻译，想象一下你的工作量会多大，华人客户的特点就是喜欢加微信，然后想到什么问什么，甚至语音你。
