Description Spark Education Group is looking for a Lead Teacher to support our first Bay Area offline learning center. Our technology offerings have already helped to spark a love of learning for children in over 650,000 families across the world. We're excited to now offer our same high-quality online curriculum in our offline courses in-person.
This role is ideal for an experienced teacher with a passion for learning and entrepreneurship. They will be the Lead Teacher of this first learning center, working closely with our pedagogy team to define our offline class offerings and ensuring that we create a transformative learning experience for our students. In addition to helping to lead curriculum design and lesson planning, the Lead Teacher will also have the opportunity to teach small group classes and engaging with parents. This will be a challenging and rewarding experience, with significant opportunities for growth as the business expands. Responsibilities - Curriculum Design: Serve as the lead teacher, guiding the development of our offline curriculum.
- Instruction: Lead 60-90 minute lessons for classes of 6-10 children in grades PreK-5. Classes will primarily be focused on Math, but may expand to other subjects.
- Leadership: Help to guide the development and lesson planning of the part-time teachers.
- Sales and Marketing: Attendance of offsite and onsite promotional events to support center enrollment.
- Customer Success: Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention by engaging with families and ensuring that their child's learning experience meets expectations.
Qualifications - A passion for and dedication to education and working with children
- 5+ years of teaching experience
- Proficiency in mathematics
- Previous experience in Chinese language instruction is preferred
- Entrepreneurial and innovative personality, with a strong sense of ownership
- Effective problem solving, time management, and organization skills
- Respect for the diversity and backgrounds of parents, children, staff, and community
- Completion of post-secondary education (university degree)
- Ability to work onsite in the Bay Area Peninsula
- Fluency in Mandarin is required
What we offer: - Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000k annually
