PH.D. POSITION IN GEOMECHANICS

A fully funded Ph.D. position is immediately available in the field of Geomechanics and Geotechnical/Petroleum Engineering at Louisiana State University (LSU). Interested candidates are invited to apply for the Geotechnical Engineering Program in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE), LSU. The research focus of this position will be on theoretical modelling and experimental investigation of the poromechanics response of borehole breakdown overpressure, which is sponsored by American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund and Aramco Americas. Please note that GRE will be waived for applicants of CEE graduate programs until fall 2024 admissions cycle and qualified candidates may expect to receive a stipend of around $30,000 per 12 months.
