The system research group in the CSE division of Louisiana State University is recruiting 2 Ph.D. students for Spring 2024. The main research focus of the group is data storage and processing, databases, distributed systems, and emerging system platforms, such as data centers,  cloud systems,  mobile and edge systems, etc. Knowledge about data storage, databases, operating systems, architecture, cloud computing, flash/NVM, key-value stores, GPU, and other related areas are welcome, but not required. Baton Rouge is a mid-sized city and has a convenient transportation, shopping, and living environment. New Orleans, the largest city of Louisiana, is one-hour drive away from Baton Rouge. Houston is about 4-hour drives away. The LSU campus is located in the south of the city center. It is famous for the southern style architecture, nationally well-known football, and over one thousand live oak trees on the campus.
