Ph.D. positions: Electrical Engineering at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM)


I’m seeking for self-motivated Ph.D. students with strong interest in AI and data analytics, embedded/cyber-physical systems, and wireless network. Students who satisfy the following requirements will be preferred:
• Academic backgrounds in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Research experience
• Programming skills, such as Python.


Dr. Shuaiqi Shen is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UWM. My research interests cover the related areas of Internet-of-Things (IoT), including embedded systems, edge intelligence, energy-efficient communications, and network security. We are working on multiple interdisciplinary topics, i.e., dynamic and explainable modeling for battery-powered embedded devices, and energy-efficient collaborative AI over edge-assisted IoT.


Full RA/TA scholarship will be provided to outstanding applications, including tuition and stipend, starting from Spring 2024 or Fall 2024. 目前还不确定哦，取决于今年招生情况。

博士一般拿F1签证，可以做校内兼职或申请CPT实习。
