As a Fullstack Software Engineer you will be responsible for:

Creating new features from scratch, enhancing existing features and optimizing functionality
Partnering with product management, architects, and engineering teams to build frontend/backend features that expands capability and performance.
Working with UX engineers to develop UIs that increases understanding and adoptability of the system throughout.
Solving complex problems in a timely manner, improving testability, deployment, monitorability, and maintainability of our software.
Working in a cross-functional team environment where quality and availability are key capabilities

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent
Experience in frontend web technologies like Angular.js, React.js, Vue.js and MVC frameworks like Django, java spring
Experience building web services using REST, MVC with SQL and/or NoSQL databases on Unix/Linux environments.
Display knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and test-driven development in Python and skilled in other languages like java, javascript, typescript, flow etc
Have excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Possess good communication skills, be self-driven, positive and an effective team player

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,430 - $170,043/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
