关于Oracle OCI

最近拿到了Oracle OCI 一个组的verbal offer， IC4。 组的名字叫做 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Frameworks & Customer Readiness team。 想问下大家知不知道这个组的情况？根据我的理解，这个职位的工作内容是：

• minimal viable product / proof of concept 然后拿给别的组scale & production，
• 或者比如NVIDIA claim了某个新的GPU有多块，写测试validate这个claim （会有写C++的机会）。
• 或者参与open source 的 ai / ml library 项目

面试情况：

• 我面试的时候面了5轮，面的全是cloud architect / sales / product 的人, 人很友好，没有一轮是coding。

hiring manager 看起来是个拉丁裔， title 是 PM。

• 这是不是个边缘组?

• 这个组工作内容水不水？是否会是地里说的基本都是ops？
• OCI 绿卡是 Day1还是6月？
• 你对这个组有什么看法？

附职位介绍：
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Frameworks & Customer Readiness team identifies developer and operation friction areas with OCI's GPU adoption by incubating and developing AI software that enables customers to easily onboard run, monitor and managing AI models at scale with OCI. We collaborate with our OCI compute and hardware teams, hardware (OEM) partners to build the software stacks for AI accelerators. Team specializes in working with Open-Source projects by working closely with OCI's AI& ML Team and narrowing the development investments to optimize and scale out model training and inference by partnering with current OCI AI/ML Product teams.As Software Engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to work on the LLM accelerators, setup ML benchmarking platforms, compilers, ML kernel, runtimes, libraries in the open-source projects that enable low friction performance optimized large scale training and inferencing of the world’s most advanced AI models.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI software in C/C++, Python, and other languages.Apply engineering principles for defining robust and maintainable architectures and designs.
• Collaborate broadly across multiple disciplines from hardware designers to ML developers.Identify requirements, scope solutions, estimate work, schedule deliverables.
• Help establish and drive the adoption of outstanding coding standards and patterns and help enhance our inclusive engineering culture.Contribute to publications, blogs and open source ML performance submissions partenering with product managers

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 6+ years software engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, or Python OR equivalent experience.Experience using and developing AI training and inference software (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Triton etc.)
• A solid technical background and foundation in software engineering principles

但IC4的话进去换组也很方便，所以倒也不用过于担心 现在这个组不好。实在干的觉得不好就换组。
OCI是day1 绿卡。
如果包裹给的还阔以的话，求稳去OCI还阔以，但个人觉得职业发展角度来说OCI就属于很一般了。看楼主更看重什么了。

就感觉 做东西很像在屎上雕花 LOL。然后做云 嘛免不了很多奇奇怪怪的ops。比如那么多region 各有各的不同
