Dr. Tang's group is recruiting one or two PhD students with full RA support starting from Fall, 2016. His research currently focuses on system security, applied cryptography and databases.

The EECS department at Syracuse University (SU) has a strong security and system group, which focuses on system security, security assurance and cloud computing. The EECS department hosts faculty members in areas from EE, CE to CS, and provides a unique platform that offers ample opportunities for collaborative research and for students to explore their research interests in essentially all computer-system layers from applications, software systems, computer architecture, down to hardware.
