Regarding your other question, I have only been here one year so I only have information from this last admission cycle, for Fall 14.  In this most recent cycle (new students this fall) we had 499 applications (this number is a combination of MS and PhD applications).  We offered admission to 116 students (again, combined MS and PhD).  Out of those 116 students, 45 were also offered a guarantee of support.  In the end, this fall we have 30 new students out of the original 499 who applied - 16 with guaranteed support offers who accepted, and 14 without guaranteed support.  Of the 30 new students, 18 are Chinese, 8 are American, and the other 4 are from other countries.  Also of the 30 new students, 9 are Masters students and 21 are PhD students. We expect the numbers this year to be somewhat similar.
