program里track的选择会影响录取概率吗（CS MS）

请教一下地里的前辈，申请的时候基本每个program都会让你选interested area，也就是所谓的track，这个会不会和录取概率挂钩啊？
比如选热门的track，竞争激烈，录取的概率就会小？

我知道的只有UCLA和UCSD是按照track录取的，其他的都不知道了

突然发现你说的是CS。。。CS的我全都不了解了。。。

UCLA要是按track录。。。好惊恐。。。。。我觉得这些学校这么大的系要是按track也太不科学了。。。

CMU MCDS 明确说 system track 和 analytic track 录取不同:

The two track choices available are Systems or Analytics. Applicants should note that their chances of admission to the program depend on their track choice, and the degree of preparation for that track which is evident in their application.

噢。。我讲的“track”可能跟您说的不太一样，我指的是CMU 一个申请系统下的option。楼主也注意下吧可能我一开始没理解对。。。
