Google Early Career Team Match不上怎么办

狗家2024 early career program正在team match。地里说有data points说可以把start date定到2025，但是我问了recruiter是这么回复我的：
“Our goal is to close your application this year, and the latest start date is December 16th, but this doesn't mean that the start date can be set to 2025. We're trying to find a manager for you yet, so can happen this year or in the next one as well. But don't worry, I'll let you know.”

我看着有点困惑，如果start date只能定在2024，那后面“We're trying to find a manager for you yet, so can happen this year or in the next one as well”又是啥意思。。。

这什么hr，语法都不通

this doesn‘t mean that the start date can‘t be set next year？ typo？
