Anyway 最近老是收到系里关于转专业政策的说明 在这里贴出来好了

Please be advised that the Department of Electrical Engineering has established policy for students wishing to transfer between the Master of Science Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science programs. In most cases, transfers will not be permitted.

Please Note:  Availing oneself of the appeals process does not guarantee the transfer of program. It remains the student's responsibility to fulfill his/her at present program curriculum requirements.

What is the transfer policy to a program in another department?

Students wishing to transfer between departments in SEAS are required to submit an application for admission to the department during the Fall or Spring admissions period. For more information, see gradengineering.columbia.edu/general-admission and gradengineering.columbia.edu/reactivation.   

What is the transfer procedure between EE/CE and CE/CS Programs?

Students wishing to transfer between EE and CE programs, as well as CE and CS programs, can submit a​ ​Change of Status Request ​​​form (Change of Status Request Form) in the Department of Electrical Engineering​. Students applying for ​this ​transfer must have completed at least one semester in the program to which they were originally admitted​. Two full-time faculty members of the MS program to which they wish to transfer must forward letters of ​recommendation to the attention of department. Recommendations​ from adjunct professors will not be ​considered. ​Directors from ​both program concentrations will review the petitioner’s request. Final decision is determined by the Chairs of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science departments. Submitting a request for ​Change of Status​ does not guarantee that it will be approved. It remains ​the ​student's responsibility to fulfill ​the curriculum requirements​ of the program​ to which they were originally admitted.

如果能随便转,EE专业的人一夜之间都转了

看lz的介绍，好像是不能从EE直接转到CS咯？

怎么说呢 去年有大神4个A+直接从EE转了CS 今年貌似没发现
