The Power Electronics Laboratory (PEL) at the University of Rhode Island (URI) is seeking applications for one fully funded Ph.D. student position, starting in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

Preferred background:
• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on power electronics, especially hands-on experiences in high power applications.
• Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage research schedules effectively.
• A positive attitude and willingness to actively contribute to laboratory research activities.
This position includes full funding (tuition, stipend, and benefits).
