California State Certified General Electrician – DC Fast Charging Field Service

? 1 Opening – Northern California

? 1 Opening – Southern California

Compensation: $40–$60/hour DOE + Overtime

Travel: Travel throughout your assigned region within California.

Position Summary

E-Power Servicing is seeking two experienced California State Certified General

Electricians to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of

DC Fast Charging infrastructure throughout California.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing field service, preventive

maintenance, diagnostics, equipment repairs, and technical support while maintaining the

highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Required Certification

Applicants must possess a valid California State Certified General Electrician

Certification issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).

Applicants who do not hold an active California DIR General Electrician Certification

will not be considered.

Essential Responsibilities

? Perform preventive maintenance on DC Fast Charging equipment.

? Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and communication-related

issues.

? Diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective repairs.

? Repair or replace contactors, relays, breakers, fuses, cooling components, charging

cables, connectors, power modules, control wiring, and other electrical

components.

? Perform electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers,

thermal imaging cameras, torque tools, and other diagnostic equipment.

? Perform commissioning and functional verification of EV charging equipment.

? Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and

technical manuals.

? Complete service reports, inspection reports, and work documentation accurately.

? Follow all OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), customer, and company

safety procedures.

? Communicate professionally with customers, manufacturers, and internal support

teams.

? Provide direct on-site supervision and technical guidance to California Electrician

Trainees (ETs) when assigned.

? Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service support as required.

Minimum Qualifications

? Active California State Certified General Electrician Certification (DIR).

? Minimum three (3) years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.

? Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

? Experience working with three-phase electrical systems.

? Experience using common electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.

? Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

? Excellent communication and customer service skills.

? Valid California Driver License with a clean driving record.

? Ability to travel within your assigned service region in California.

? Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and work in indoor and outdoor environments.

Experience in any of the following is preferred:

? DC Fast Charging infrastructure

? EV charging equipment

? Field service

? Electrical commissioning

? Preventive maintenance

? Power electronics

? High-voltage DC systems

? EVITP Certification

? OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

? NFPA 70E Training
