Process (3 additional rounds after phone screen):

• Hiring Manager Round – Live Coding (1 hr) Mix of Behavioral Questions (BQ) + technical discussion, plus a short live coding exercise.
• Panel Round – Technical Coding (1 hr, 2–3 interviewers) More in-depth technical/coding session, focused on hands-on problem solving and past experience.
• Final Round – Senior SDE Lead (30 min) Coding questions + BQ, shorter but higher-level bar.

Technical Topics Covered:

• DUKPT (Derived Unique Key Per Transaction) — payment/encryption key management came up, so brushing up on payment security concepts helps.

Compensation & Logistics:

• Offer: $120,000
• Candidate background: coming from Zebra Technologies, within 6 months of tenure there
• Sponsorship: company provides visa sponsorship
• Performance review cycle: 1 year mark
