Thank you for your inquiry dated July 30, 2026.

USCIS may consider an Expedite Request if it meets one or more of the following criteria with supporting evidence:

Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioner's or applicant's failure to timely file the benefit request or to timely respond to any requests for evidence;
Emergencies and urgent humanitarian reasons;
Nonprofit organization (as designated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
Compelling U.S. government interests (such as urgent cases for the Department of Defense or DHS, or other public safety or national security interests); or
A clear USCIS error.
To expedite your case, we strongly suggest uploading a letter of explanation with an original, handwritten (wet-ink) signature and any evidence you may have to support your request in your USCIS online account. Please Note: If your documentation is in any language other than English, it must be accompanied by a Certified English Translation.

If you do not have a USCIS online account and you have met one or more of the criteria above, please check your receipt number to see if it starts with the letters "IOE."

If your receipt number does start with "IOE," please create a USCIS online account to upload evidence supporting your need to expedite your case. You should have received an Online Acceptance Notice with directions on how to set up a USCIS online account to include an Online Account Code (OAC) to link your form to your account. Once you have linked your case to your USCIS online account, you can then follow the steps below on how to uploading your evidence and request an expedite through secure message. Please Note: If your OAC has expired, please submit an inquiry to reset your OAC at my.uscis.gov/account/v1/needhelp.
If your receipt notice number does not start with an "IOE," please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 (TTY 1-800-767-1833) for assistance with your request. Please Note: You will still need a letter of explanation and the supporting documents in your possession if your request is submitted to the USCIS office that has jurisdiction over your case.
Steps to take to upload evidence in your USCIS online account:

Log into your USCIS online account;
Find your Case Card by going to the Home page located under the MyAccount menu;
On your Case Card, select the Documents tab;
Scroll down to the bottom to Unsolicited Evidence and click Upload Evidence to upload your letter of explanation and the supporting evidence documents;
Steps on how to send a secure message from your USCIS online account:

Go to your Inbox located under the MyAccount menu to send a secure message to request the processing of your case be expedited;
Select "Expedites" for the type of secure message you will be sending;
In your message indicate the Form Number and which Expedite Criteria you wish to be considered for;
Describe in detail how it will negatively affect you or your company if you do not receive the benefit in time; and
Indicate that you have successfully uploaded the necessary supporting evidence in your USCIS online account, with the name of each document and the date you uploaded them; then click Send.
Once the Expedite Service Request is submitted, it will then be forwarded to the office with jurisdiction over your case.
