Your application was considered for admission to the MISM tracks based in Pittsburgh. The MISM program received over 1,200 applications for 150 seats and unfortunately due to limited capacity we are unable to offer you admission to MISM program tracks that commence in Pittsburgh.
However, Heinz College also delivers the MISM program in a Global track combining coursework at Carnegie Mellon University campuses in Adelaide, Australia and Pittsburgh.
The decision was made to offer you admission to the Global track, commencing at the Australian campus in August 2015. Congratulations!!
You will be able to access your official letter of admission to the Global MISM Program via the online application system in a few days. We will send you a separate email message notifying you when it is ready.
The Global track is a 21-month experience that allows students to access multiple job markets, including the United States, and gain an international perspective in their education.

The Global track has been created to address the needs of employers interested in hiring a more globalized group of graduates and is in a unique position to offer students a distinct skills set and global perspective gained from studying at a top tier IT and management program on two continents. Our Global track students will have access to multiple job markets, and will receive support for their internship and job searches from Career Services staff in both Adelaide and Pittsburgh. Career Services staff members working at both campuses have been and will continue to collaborate to identify viable internship opportunities for Global track students.

This acceptance letter is only for the Global track. Classes commence in August 2015 at our Australia campus. The curriculum and quality of instruction at all Heinz College locations reflects the high standards for which Carnegie Mellon University is renowned.

The 21-month Global track offers several benefits to its students that we cannot provide in Pittsburgh in the 12 and 16 month programs. We expect employers will continue to see the global experience/perspective as an advantage in the job market. We do hope that you will give strong consideration to the unique opportunities that are available to students in the Global track.
The admissions committee has awarded you a scholarship while you are studying in Adelaide that will offset the cost of tuition for the additional semester of classes. The total cost of tuition and fees for the Global track will be the same as the traditional MISM program.
