统计 PS 2.0求批。。感觉写的略少了

看了一下别人写的发现自己写的有点直。。上来就是按照why statistics why your program why me写完了。。然后无关的统统没列感觉就像没多少事例的样子。这篇是拿哥大的目标学校写的。

After considering my aptitude and the type ofthe work that I like to do, I am convinced that I want to take up a dataanalysis career in Statistics. My immediate objective is to pursue a M.A. inStatistics. Either in class or during research, I strive to shape myself toreach the requirement.

I find Data Extraction and Data Visualizationthe most appealing area of Statistics and Data Science because of their manybeautiful results together with their numerous applications to real-lifeproblems. In the first semester as a sophomore, I committed to the projectsupported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, a research regardingthe mechanism of interrelation between the capital of board, the degree ofinternationalization and performance of enterprise. With my professor’s help,we collected information of Chinese listed company and achieved businessanalysis. This led to an inclination towards Data Analytics. I am fascinated withthe enormous potential for research in these area that is what I envisagemyself doing a decade from now. I am convinced that such a career would beperfect fit for me. （career objective）

Keeping in mind my long-term goals, myimmediate objective is to work towards a Master in Statistics. In the secondsemester as a junior, I took the course Data Mining and was required toaccomplish the project, built the networking analysis of Shanghaitransportation system. I was supposed to extract data from the website byvirtue of Python and transfer it into adjacent matrix by R language. Complicatedprogramming was an obstacle although I have learned several software through avariety of in-course work such as R, Python, Matlab. I found the data involvedwith millions of elements, indicated that using R package would cause someunintended problems and thus may not fit in this project. I established thespecific method to construct matrix and obtain the visualization result byvirtue of R programming. Finally I got the highest possible grade (100/100) butI have realized that while I have learned great skills and developed strongrelationships and a basic understanding of what I want to do in the future,what I learned from my undergraduate classes is limited for practical uses orspecialized research. The master’s program at your university would help megain exposure to multi-dimensional training. I am captivated by itsinterdisciplinary curriculum and distinguished faculty. I am extremelyenthusiastic about your appropriate courses such as Data Mining and StatMachine Learning. Cross-register for classes at Computer Science and DataScience also leads to an inclination towards your program. I perceive that itwould provide me extensive statistical capacity and strengthen my computerprogramming ability. （Why your program）

My favor for science was inculcated from myschool days. So I chose Applied Mathematics with the track in FinancialMathematics as my major after College Entrance Examination. Nevertheless, comparedwith financial study, I perceive that mathematical field is more fascinating. Havingbeen exposed to the various facets of Applied Mathematics in the courseMathematical Model in the second semester as a sophomore, I have found Modelingfield most intellectually satisfying and stimulating. In my junior year, Iselected a variety of major courses such as data mining, stochastic process,multivariate statistics analysis and etc. I alsoparticipated in 2015 Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling and was designatedas Honorable Mention. Itprovides me with a strong and comprehensive background in Mathematics andStatistics. After dedicated to my major study, my junior GPA is 89.3/100 andmajor GPA is 86.5/100. （这段是解释一下GPA,因为我的overall比较低major的比较高）

In short, I believe that a good graduateprogram is an essential step for realizing my professional ambition of becominga competent statistical analyst. I also believe that I possess the motivation,intellectual ability and preparation to do justice to a demanding graduateprogram. My undergraduate record and my high GRE scores are testimony to that.Besides, my experience of modeling and programming is also a good proof of myanalytic skills and problem-solving ability. I believe with my greatest willinglearn, your program would prepare me for a stat-related career in thisever-changing world.

I, therefore, look forward to joining yourdepartment as a graduate student.

Finally I got the highest possible grade (100/100) but I have realized that while I have learned great skills and developed strong relationships and a basic understanding of what I want to do in the future,what I learned from my undergraduate classes is limited for practical uses or specialized research. 这句话我不是很理解（1）specific method，是不是需要说明到底是啥method...（2）possible grade(100/100)这个我没懂，是正确率吗？吻合度吗？好吧是我太弱了我并不知道是啥。。。（3）（100/100）后面的话，感觉有点长了，作者是不是可以稍微修改一下表达方式年~希望能够和你多多交流~！
