As an engineer, you will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, documentation, testing and operations. As a part of the team, and while working with our wider development community, you will deliver innovative solutions to achieve our security objectives. Engineers work on a variety of projects that carry varying responsibilities. Below are some examples of the diverse projects with which you might be involved. Writing server-side and client-side code for web-based applications to create robust, high-volume production solutions.  Build platforms, systems and applications leveraging your engineering background in distributed systems, OS/kernel internals, network system design, and databases. Build internal systems used by thousands of Amazonians around the world. Specialist domains: web-site development, web-services, identity and access management, workflow applications, information retrieval, large-scale data processing and data-mining.

·         Global Security Operations: GSO owns and operates systems that continually optimize the distribution of tens of millions of products across Amazon’s warehouses in the most cost effective manner, trying to reduce overall transportation costs while preserving the customer experience. Our organization is focused on saving hundreds of millions of dollars using cutting edge science, machine learning, and scalable distributed software on the cloud that automates and optimizes inventory and shipments to customers under the uncertainty of demand, pricing and supply. We seek a passionate, results-oriented and inventive individual to be part of a team of software developers building software systems using mathematical modeling, simulations and data analysis. Successful candidates are strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivery. You should be willing to understand and experiment with various optimization techniques to build innovative software solutions while working with supply chain business partners in delivering a viable solution.

·         AWS Anti-DDOS: AWS Network Security is the central security component of AWS which monitors and defends against security threats, including DDoS, worldwide. We design, create and deploy software monitoring tools worldwide in large scale, distributed networks. Our tools detect and diagnose security threats in realtime, ensuring that we have the fastest possible response to security threats aimed at AWS and it's customers. We are highly customer centric and work closely with them to develop new features that serve their needs. As a member of this team you will be responsible for the development of network monitoring, data mining and system analysis tools which allow AWS to detect and defend against malicious internet traffic. You will be involved from inception to deployment and beyond, for interacting with our customers and gathering requirements, to supporting the product operationally. You will design and implement tools in state of the art networks, dealing with realtime problems worldwide. Technologies include Java, C/C++, Ruby, Perl, HTTP, DNS, UDP, TCP, BGP, MQTT.

·         AWS Route 53: Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service. It is designed to give developers and businesses an extremely reliable and cost effective way to route end users to Internet applications by translating human readable names like www.example.com into the numeric IP addresses like 192.0.2.1 that computers use to connect to each other. Route 53 effectively connects user requests to infrastructure running in Amazon Web Services (AWS) – such as an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance, an Amazon Elastic Load Balancer, or an Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) bucket – and can also be used to route users to infrastructure outside of AWS.
