Multiple fully funded Ph.D. positions are available in the Design and Optimization of Energy Systems (DOES) Laboratory at UT-Dallas in Fall 2016. The research interests and expertise in DOES Lab are: multidisciplinary design optimization, complex engineered systems, big data analytics, power & energy systems, wind energy, renewable integration, energy systems modeling and simulation. Preferred qualifications: (1) B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or statistics; (2) strong background in mathematical optimization methods; and (3) knowledge in power & energy systems, renewable integration, multidisciplinary design optimization, and big data analytics.
