Rice发邀请去visit，但又没说到底录不录，这是什么意思呢？

刚刚收到Rice U的invitation去visit，还给500刀的路费。但惟独没说到底录不录啊，所以在地里发帖问问看有没有同样收到invitation的同学。昨天刚刚给小蜜发了信，小蜜说decision will be made after the visit。以下是email的一些内容，有同去的同学跟我联系：
Dear XXX,
Choosing a graduate program is a very important decision. To help understand our program and determine its fit with your career objectives, we invite you to visit Rice and the Department of Statistics. Our preferred dates are February 20 and March 5, 2012. If these dates are not convenient for you, let us know and we will choose another mutually agreed date. At the visit, you will have the opportunity to meet with our faculty and graduate students and ask any questions you may have.

In order for us to help you with travel and coordinate your visit, we would like to know by February 13, 2012 if you are available to visit Rice at this time or not. The department will pay up to $500 towards your travel expenses plus cover your local expenses. A one-night visit should suffice.  Plan to arrive Sunday morning and depart Monday evening. Southwest into Hobby Airport (HOU) is usually cost-effective (or Continental into IAH).  In some cases, plane connections may necessitate a two-night stay.

应该是好事吧  要不就发邮件问问

这种情况一般会有面试，另外就是他们自己做一下宣传。

    我也希望是好事，但就把他们只是把我忽悠过去看一圈再rej掉啊，我刚刚恢复了他们邮件，希望小蜜早点给我答案吧

   海本，math major,有stats辅修
   GPA：3.7+
   GRE: 1520+3.5
   无牛推无paper，一个酱油intern
   就这些，申UMN的MS已经悲剧过了，所以就看他家要不要了。

LZ是申了他家PhD，还是水master啊？

我们只能申职业型硕士，记得是这样的…M.Stat什么的…
