I am pleased to inform you that the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering has recommended you for admission for the Civil and Env Engg MS graduate program. A recommendation has been sent to the Graduate Admissions Office to begin our program for the Fall 2012 semester.

This offer is contingent upon your official admission to the University of Utah by the Admissions Office. Your admissions portfolio has been forwarded to the Office of Graduate Admissions for final review. If the Admissions Office concurs with the recommendation, a formal notice of acceptance will be sent to you from that office.

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering requires incoming graduate students to attend an orientation prior to beginning the program. Please plan on attending this event. More information regarding the time and date will be sent at a later date.

Dr. Pomeroy has been assigned as your temporary faculty advisor. Upon formal admission from the University of Utah, it is recommended that you contact your temporary advisor via email so that you can discuss your area of interest and find a permanent faculty advisor. For a list of important academic dates, including when classes begin visit the University of Utah Academic Calendar.

Please know that we do not automatically provide financial asssistance to all students that are admitted to our graduate program. To receive financial support as a Research Assistant or Graduate Assistant, you must be recommended by a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah. A separate letter will be sent if funding is being offered.
