由哥大FAQ发现transcript的一个问题，不知道要不要WES，求指教！

看哥大CS FAQ里面关于transcript这样写：
My course grades on my undergraduate transcript are based on a different scale from Columbia's. What can I do?
You must have your transcript converted to the GPA scale by an appropriate agency (GPA is on a 0-4 scale) before sending it to the SEAS Graduate Student Services. It is your responsibility to find an agency that can do this conversion for you. The CS department cannot provide referrals however you may consult with seasgradmit@columbia.edu for a list of possible agencies.


对于自己的情况有几点疑惑：
1.国内成绩单 - 本科成绩单是百分制的，但是最后有写明100-point 转换到 4-point的对应标准，不知道这种还算不算based on a different scale from Columbia's. 因为看到之前很多申请的人好像也没有弄WES，不知道这个有没有必要

2.国外成绩单 - 我有一份瑞典的成绩单(5-point)以及一份英国的成绩单(100-point)，master期间的。上面都没有写4-point转化，估计是必须做认证转化了，查了下WES官网，发现英国的好转，但是瑞典的转化标准上面写着：the grading scale used in Sweden does not lend itself to a US grading scale equivalency。而且试了下那个iCalculator好像确实转化瑞典的会有bug。不知道有没有人遇到类似的问题并解决了的？不知道还能找什么认证。

3.想问下还有没有什么学校是有这样要求的？

4.如果很不幸的，我的三分成绩单都需要认证转化，是不是得交三份WES申请（或者类似机构），还是说可以合并成一个申请？粗略看了一下好像不同国家操作方式都有点不一样。那如果交三份，感觉会非常麻烦耗时且费用很可观...有没有前辈指点一下，那我这背景还有必要申请哥大嘛？这是定位贴，仍在选校中：http://www.1point3acres.com/bbs/thread-302456-1-1.html
对哥大没有太强烈的情感，但是感觉能申的学校也并不太多...

5.顺带问一下，还没有开始网申，不太确定网申系统里一般都会让填GPA嘛？还是上传成绩单就好啊？因为我这master俩学校的成绩并没有合并，所以也没有一个master总成绩...难道要写成读了两个一年的master嘛？


前两个问题以及发邮件问了小米，但是不知道什么时候会有回信，想先问问前辈经验，毕竟WES之类的弄下来得好久...

我在FAQ里看的是这样的啊
Only doctoral applicants to the Computer Science department need to mail official transcripts at the time of their application.
All other department programs may upload copies of official transcripts to the online application system for review purposes. The Office of Graduate Student Affairs will require all official mailed or hand delivered hard-copy transcripts at the point of admission.
所以不需要寄成绩单的吧

哇，可是我这里却是一个饶舌。。
“Copies of your transcripts should be uploaded online. Only doctoral applicants to the Computer Science department need to mail official transcripts at the time of application. All other departments may upload copies of official transcripts to the online application system for review purposes. Our office will require official mailed in transcripts at the point of admission.”
前一秒还说只要CS的PhD交。。最后就蹦出一个我们也要。。

哥大需要寄书面成绩单吗？官网上我看到是需要寄的？——的官网上，在FAQ中说的是：We do not require mailed, hard versions of transcripts at the time of application. Do not mail your transcripts to the admissions office. If you are accepted to a program, you will be given instructions to then mail them.

哥大的那个我发邮件问了，我们学校也是百分制成绩单，回复说就传原始成绩单的扫描件就行了。“Please only upload a copy of your transcript(s) onto your online application at this time”

上面又贴错了，贴成另一个学校的了。应该是在填写申请时，给出的是：You must mail oneofficial transcript in a sealed envelope from each college/university you haveattended or are currently attending to: ...（后面跟着具体的邮寄地址）。

那就没问题了。我恰好就是你刚说的唯一一种需要寄材料的范围。

啊哈谢谢~ 我发的邮件他们并没有给我回复...

申请系统里面写的很清楚了，如果申的是CS的项目的话，是需要寄成绩单的。

感觉没毛病呐...他后面说的要交是指在录取之后才要交吧..?
