报LSU CS PHD TA OFFER

TA，18000/9months+TW+INSURANCE The Department of Computer Science would like to offer you an Assistantship for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semester. I have attached the award letter. Please read the letter and if you decide that LSU is the university you would like to attend and you would like to accept the Assistantship simply print this award letter sign it, scan it back in and email it right back to me. You don’t have long to make the decision before we offer your assistantship to another student.. 但是信后面有这么句话： If we do not hear from you within 21 days from the date of mailing, we will assume that you do not wish to accept our offer and we will present it to another candidate. 还正担心USF(south forida)的3.1答复期限呢 这下就来了个LSU的OFFER。。。不过也催俺２１天之内答复。。不知道LSU如何?大家给说说阿 TA没有分配导师，就是过去再选导师了吧，据说baton rouge治安比较差，估计比tampa要差啊~ 气候肯定也比不上，但是都不是dream offer，但是一个优势就是可以让我不用3.1答复了吧。。本来想着估计要答复了，要去tampa了，现在很是纠结啊。 都不是牛OFFER~ 现在不知道该不该拒了南佛 然后拿着LSU的继续等。。想问问LSU那里的学生情况再说~ 但是网页上找不到学生的链接。等的话也就UMN，ASU，IUB，UTAH几所了。NORTH EASTERN，Case Western Reserve Univ. 也还有点值得等吧。前面那几所都比较难。 如果单就这两所来选，我会选南佛吧。LSU的治安和气候是个大问题(大家觉得呢？）~ 主要是觉得学术方面LSU 和USF差不多吧？数据库、数据挖掘方向LSU有个牛人Peter Chen,但是60几岁了~ 南佛的OFFER里面直接说了我的advisor是谁啊，虽然也是TA/RA，这个导师感觉还是不错的。lsu导师应该要过去再选，当然导师也会要选我~ 如果拒南佛的话就是希望后面能等到比南佛更好的OFFER~ 另外ASU拿了个PHD AD，小米说： At this time financial assistance has not been determined.  If you are interested in a RA position you need to contact the individual professor whose research area you are interested in and work directly with him/her to secure a RA position.  All Ph.D. students will be reviewed for a TA position but there is no guarantee that you will get a TA.

cong～先问问他家还能不能拖，要是不能拖，就等到第20天，如果决定从了，就给他们说从中国mail过去很慢，先email promise一下肯定去，sign了的文件稍后就寄到～

恩，那就是USF比LSU要好不少啦？warald是这么认为的么？
那ASU和USF比呢 USF那里的学长说 30以后的学校都差不多 比USF不会好多少 是这样么
不知道要不要冒险去等UMN，ASU，IUB，UTAH这几所 有点想再argue下USF 再extend下 已经从2.15 extend到3.1了
