这边的选课数量是可以无限选么? 还是选到一定数量之后就要加钱？

3-5门课一样钱 一学期最多20学分（4学分一门课）也就是最多5门课 但还可以加选一些0学分的课比如英语课之类的

Is there a maximum of total number of credits. I mean whether there is a line that when u reach, u must graduate? Also, how about the summer period, is there still a couple of courses to take. Whether summer period can be treated like a semester?

U said that 8 courses brought a ms in CS? R u serious?

My plan is to use 2 years + 1 summer break +1 summer internship to finish the ms program, hoping to get both experience in applied stat and CS. Is it ok?

Within two years (ex. 08/2012-05/2014), you could stay even you have reached the credits needed for graduation. Our I20 is valid untill May of the second year. After the two years, I don't know.

Also, how about the summer period, is there still a couple of courses to take. Whether summer period can be treated like a semester?
There are two sections in summer. But only very a few courses to take in STAT. For CS, you need to check the courselist online.

You only have 1 summer for internship or summer classes. If so, you need to take at least 4 courses per semester. It will be very hard, especially for CS courses. One more problem, I am not sure whether you could get registered for some popular CS courses because CS students have the registration priority.

你自己说的啊：“曾经听过一个说法，UIUC的CS修够8门课就可以拿CS的master, 还想说这是不是曲线救国来UIUC读CS的方法，哈哈，但是其实难度还是很大的，因为CS课程压力很大”

其实我想去uiuc这个项目就是觉得如果他跟cs交集比较大就可以是一条往cs发展的路，而且uiuc的cs是非常非常强的，如果没有的话，估计这个项目就不会有太大的吸引力

另外是考虑春季入学，入两年，这样就会有两个暑假，否则一年半的话，就只有第一个暑假了，这样会很难找到实习，对以后很不利。

我本科统计和cs的背景太少了。。确实应数的背景，太不实用了

“曾经听说"......没有去证实过，只知道有EE的PHD同学这样拿到CS
