北卡夏洛特-交通/城规/数据分析-PHD IN TRANSPORTATION AND URBAN SCIENCES

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking a highly motivated doctoral student to conduct research on a funded project on “Economic Impacts of Transit Investments, Social Challenges, and Strategies for Sustaining High Ridership” to be funded by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The project is co-lead by Distinguished Professor Jean-Claude Thill at UNC Charlotte and Professor Eleni Bardaka, North Carolina State University. Project is scheduled to start August 15, 2019.

The student will be enrolled in one of UNC Charlotte’s doctoral programs in Geography, Infrastructure and Environmental Systems (INES), and Public Policy, under the supervision of Dr. Thill. Applicants must hold a masters degree to be admitted to these programs. Applicants must have a background in transportation analysis, urban science, and data analytics. They must demonstrate excellence in written and oral communication, and working knowledge of GIS, spatial statistics, database management, and programming.
