stanford一些录取过程

发此贴主要透露一下我知道的Stanford统计的录取过程，是一个教授告诉我的。他并不在Admission Committee里，但是他们开过会。以下是他的描述：

I'm not on the Admissions Committee and this year we have a
large number of outstanding candidates, according to our
Admissions Committee who presented the short list for final
selection in our January faculty meeting. Unfortunately your
name wasn't on the short list, so there was nothing I could help
you. Basically the PhD admissions process for our department has
closed after that faculty meeting as the faculty don't want to meet
again on this matter.

同NKU，LZ master 读完了？ 为啥要申统计PHD呢？

太激烈了。 chicago的master都被拒了。

我是说， 楼主貌似是chicago master背景。。 虽然不知道成绩具体咋样。
