-------------------分割线--------------------- Hardware and Software Co-Design for Heterogeneous Domain-Specific Systems
This PhD position focuses on automated mapping of signal processing and wireless communications algorithms onto heterogeneous computing platforms. It is part of the Domain-specific System-on-chip project aimed at developing a low-power heterogeneous architecture which provides high computation efficiency for cutting-edge algorithms in signal processing and communications.
Dr. Chakrabarti is involved in derivation of the heterogeneous architecture including memory system design and optimization, and automated mapping of the domain-specific algorithms onto the heterogeneous architecture while satisfying timing, power and thermal constraints.
The requirements for this position are:
a. Experience in computer architecture, embedded system and FPGA development
b. Strong background in computer algorithms including graph algorithms
c. Strong software/hardware programming ability (C++, Verilog, or equivalent)
d. Familiar with optimization algorithms including those that are used in CAD
e. Fluent in English
f. Priority for students who have completed their MS degree
Funding: this position is funded fully (research assistant). No need to be a TA.
Since students in this project have to cooperate with other groups, good English communication skill is important. Dr. Chakrabarti will schedule a Skype interview with the qualified candidate.
