意外之喜－－报一个小众AD CS@Tufts，也求些大米

今天刚收到的Email通知，很是惊喜呢～  之前在地里看到评价说Tufts招国际学生很少，报rej的居多，以为自己也没多大希望了，现在收到录取真的很开心，而且以本人的普通背景，能有排名前30的录取，真的很幸运了～  祝大家也顺顺利利拿到满意的Offer和AD～

是吗，我看了他们的课程设置，感觉教学要求挺高的，请问楼上对这所学校了解吗？他们在CS方面有没有比较突出的方向呢？就业好吗？

我也收到这个学校的ad了，LZ了解这个学校的cs吗？可以交流交流

"What distinguishes Tufts CS from other programs is the highly interdisciplinary nature of our research program, an attention to scholarship that includes world-class teaching, flexibility of our programs, intimate size, and location in one of the academic centers of the world.  The small intimate nature of Tufts CS allows undergraduates to be involved in world-class research.  Class sizes are small at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.  But perhaps what makes us most unique is that Faculty actively seek interdisciplinary collaborations across Tufts and Boston.  For example, current funded research includes research projects with Civil, Chemical, Electrical, and Biomedical Engineering, the School of Medicine, and the departments of Biology, Genetics, Astrophysics, Classics, Child Development and Cognitive Science." 引用自letter from Chair of Tufts CS. 说明Tufts CS搞交叉学科多. 又因为Tufts的医学很牛, 可知CS的交叉多半发生在与医学有关方面. 就业的话, MS自己牛应该都没问题.  Tufts因为MS学生少, 估计还可以套教授拿RA之类的

我也收到了…手上有还有个Boston

期待大offer 可以让人不纠结…tufts 的专排不高啊…

谢谢哦，说得有道理。可惜卤煮对医学方面不是很感冒呢...

很奇怪，有些人说Tufts的CS挺不错的，但在USNEWS排名却很低，而之前W大有篇文章说到2010的NRC排名里，Tufts的专排又不算低。估计是排名的标准各有不同吧。会不会是学校在CS方面的名气不大，很容易被忽略，所以出现这样大的差异

我看tufts的课程特别全，比其他排名靠前一些的CS学校都好多了。。。
PS，发给楼楼邮件的老师叫什么啊？发我邮件的是我选的方向的老师，难道是分老师收学生的？
