Question: If the site was down for an hour from 6-7pm Friday night, what’s the impact on the consumer side? Think about how consumer experience can be impacted in different ways, and how to estimate the loss for Doordash.
Me: impact:1) delay or failure to fulfill for existing orders; 2) loss from potential new orders
Interviewer: how do you know the number of delayed orders?
Me: rush hour order volume in previous weeks/Fridays
Interviewer: How can you estimate the % of delayed orders, assuming all existing orders were placed on 5:55pm and at 7pm merchants were able to continue the service with no problem
