#1 一届的class size大概多大&人种比例ISYE 每年招 2-3个master，MATH那边4-6个吧， 规模比较小。
但是统计的课是向别的专业开放的，课堂的size 从25- 70不等。
统计的学生大部分是亚洲人 中国 韩国 的，美国人有 1-2个。

#2 跟教授联系多吗、有没有跟research的机会
教授们都比较忙，最近isye这边资金也很紧， 想找统计的research机会比较难， 钱就更别说了。

How do student engage in research with faculty? Are there any RA opportunities?
【For masters students most of the interaction with faculty is through the courses they take. There are RA positions but the majority of faculty support their PhD students with RA positions. Some students take reading courses (independent study) with faculty members, this allows for much closer interaction with the faculty and sometimes leads to interesting research.】

How about working as a TA or grader? Will this be possible?

【The School of Math has limited resources for financial assistance and most of this is used for PhD students (we guarantee support to PhD students). So we cannot guarantee teaching assistant positions to Masters students. When we need more teaching assistants and have the financial resources we do sometimes support Masters students, but this is on a semester by semester basis. In the past we have been able to support approximately half of our MS students in a given semester.】



#3 是不是只有credit option&是不是只能在Math和ISyE选课
选课可以自由选 但是算在毕业那30个学分的课只能按照网站规定得选
【The MS-Stats is entirely course bases. You need to take 30 hours of coursework for the degree. 】
【27 of the 30 hours have to be from an approved list of courses (mainly ISyS and Math), but the "free elective", that is the remaining 3 hours, can be any graduate level course.】
【Many students also take one or two courses more than they need for their degree and if you do this, these can of course be from any department.】


#4 就业去向
就业样本比较少 但是没听说找不到的。
有去北卡做统计的，有做consulting的 还有做Data mining的


#5 转phd的可能性
转PhD比较难，isye系里做统计而且还招phd的就那么4-5个人 ，而且不一定有钱。
大家都往外边儿申请了


#6 Math和ISyE录取的有区别吗
Math和 ISyE没区别，可能math会给个办公桌，发个把TA吧。
ISyE很穷

No more than 20 students in this program each year, only several  international students。
M.S. Statistics program focus on acedemic more than application.

math会需要很多grader，可以挣点钱。也有机会拿RA，it depends

关于工作每个人的说法都不一样，
Atlanta is the heart of south US. There are lots of famous companies here, like Invesco, Mckinsey, Ernst&Young, Delta Airline and etc. 会有很多公司去招聘吧。反正不管在哪里都是it depends

这个项目的优势感觉就是可以上ISYe的课，米国国内排名很高。

关于费用与治安，
在GIT读CS的师兄说，学费一学期一万7？亚特兰大物价在城市里算很低的；如果你深夜在外面走路，会不安全
其他时间正常的地方没事
黑人比例略高比其他一般地方。比芝加哥应该少些
