Tao Li will join the Department of Computer and Information Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) this Fall. He is looking for highly self-motivated students from the ECE Ph.D. program at IUPUI. The RA positions are expected to start from Fall 2020 or Spring 2021. A successful candidate is expected to conduct research on one or multiple subjects in following areas including: security and privacy in mobile and IoT systems, secure AI and machine learning, smart health, mobile crowdsourcing and sensing, and wireless networks. An ideal candidate is expected to have:

– An earned master degree in CS, EE or a relevant area. Outstanding students with bachelor degree will also be considered.
– A solid background in any one of the following subjects will be a plus: mobile computing, security/cryptography, machine learning, communications & networking, algorithm design, optimization/game theory

请问IUPUI的degree会是Purdue University at Indianapolis吗？一直没搞懂这个问题

如果在Indianapolis 答辩证书最底下会有for study at Indianapolis campus 几个字，如果在Purdue主校区答辩就没有这几个字了。在哪里答辩都是可以安排的。

现在申请还能秋季入学。IUPUI地理位置很不错，生活便利，物价低，也有不少IT工作机会，学术上跟普度和印第安纳大学都有很紧密的联系。

是不是在组建advisor committee的时候就得安排好答辩地方啊，那是不是得有普渡主校区的老师

如果自己的导师在IUPUI，那在组advisor committee的时候要去主校区找老师，然后就能在那边答辩了嘛。不知道是不是这样理解。
