H1B 疫情期间WFH需要H1B Amendment么

疫情期间我们WFH，而且估计会长期WFH。
我在的公司虽然也不算小，但因为不是IT大厂，外国人数量很少，目前也没接到HR或者律师的有关H1B amendment的通知


USCIS官网这么写的
You must file an amended H-1B petition if your H-1B employee changed or is going to change his or her place of employment to a worksite location outside of the metropolitan statistical area (MSA) or an “area of intended employment” (as defined at 20 CFR 655.715) covered by the existing approved H-1B petition, even if a new LCA is already certified and posted at the new location.

我的理解是如果是同一MSA，那基本可以确定不需要H1B amendment，只需要更新下LCA？
但我的情况是，我住的地点跟公司地址不在同一个MSA，但是是在normal commuting distance of the place (address) of employment。。。不确定准确定义，但是离办公室直线距离大概20miles左右，驾驶距离30miles的样子。。像我这种情况需要H1b Amendment么？

我的办公室离MSA的border不远，所以很容易就出了MSA。。我觉得这种情况应该在湾区和纽约附近也比较常见吧，跨MSA但是不垮州。。请问各大厂是怎么处理这事的。。

主要觉得疫情期间处理不想冒风险做H1B Amendment，如果真的需要，也可以搬进同一个MSA，但是如果不需要，就懒得动了

不超过50 miles不需要amend

我看官方文件是说MSA肯定没问题，但是跨MSA就说的很模糊了，也并没说50miles这种准确数字。。所以好奇大公司是是怎么处理这个问题的。按理说如果跨MSA就需要Amend的话，考虑到人数，现在地里应该都是铺天盖地的amend。。但是并没有找到类似的记录。。。
或者也有可能地里大多数人所在的MSA比较大，不存在这个问题？比如西雅图，旧金山，圣何塞

特殊时期 我的理解是看好了i94不要有over stay 别的在家工作的事情听律师的就好 移民局还真能现在去on-site visit 不成

我的公司要求办理，但这个东西应该没法查，你可以说我每天开车去朋友家办公，朋友在同城市，这是合法的。

我看官方说的是same MSA or area of intended employment都行啊，也就是说可通勤距离内也是可以的。。会不会你的距离太远了。我的地址和公司其实就隔了不到30mile，30分钟之内就开到了。。

后来是正好公寓到期了，就搬到了同一MSA的公寓。。省的麻烦。。
我觉得最好的方法是咨询下公司的律师。。
我是觉得如果不在同一MSA，但在50miles以内，不能算违规，因为官方规定就没有说清楚。。移民局不可能因为这个找麻烦。。。但是为了保险起见，你可以咨询下公司律师，嫌麻烦也不用咨询。。要是原来其实也无所谓，就是这届政府和移民局找茬频率太高

20 CFR 655.715

Area of intended employment means the area within normal commuting distance of the place (address) of employment where the H-1B nonimmigrant is or will be employed. There is no rigid measure of distance which constitutes a normal commuting distance or normal commuting area, because there may be widely varying factual circumstances among different areas (e.g., normal commuting distances might be 20, 30, or 50 miles). If the place of employment is within a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) or a Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area (PMSA), any place within the MSA or PMSA is deemed to be within normal commuting distance of the place of employment; however, all locations within a Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area (CMSA) will not automatically be deemed to be within normal commuting distance. The borders of MSAs and PMSAs are not controlling with regard to the identification of the normal commuting area; a location outside of an MSA or PMSA (or a CMSA) may be within normal commuting distance of a location that is inside (e.g., near the border of) the MSA or PMSA (or CMSA).
