ramping a new feature to help merchants grow called 'marketing program'. This feature will allow merchants to set promotions (like free delivery, discount) at certain period of time. Like 'happy hour'
1. any questions?
Q: any limitations on participants? who is paying for the discount benefit? - no limitation - merchants are paying cost themselves
2. how to understand if merchants are interests in this?. 1point 3 acres
A: ROI per usage and period of time afterwards
3. How to define ROI for merchants
A: I: promotion base on the discount format (provided with some exmaple) + commission to platform R:short term net sales and monitor sales trends for longer period of time
4. What negative impact can you think of with the feature
A: with increase of traffice, possible change of increase risk with other potential cost (delivery stress, logisitic matching issue, overall platform reliability etc); cannibalization with competitors and possible churn or switch platform for nondiscount players; unhealthy price fight if multiple merchants using it.--
5. how to you quantify the customer side returns. 1point 3acres
A: number of orders, retention, lift in engagement and rating.
6. How to do A/B test for this - select metrics; what to split, why, why not consider a,b,c; why t-test
7. Once we've done the experiment, how to translate that to side wide impact for ramp up decisions - asked in details why I made some assumptions and how I project it, why I can hold true

1. DS应该有个influence怎么体现?- make available,education,right format partnership, improve interactions with partners and d or free delivery over any dollar value are not carried over to future orders
4. say we want to use 1M on testing a region for free delivery for a month, how to understand ROI
- return is short-term+long-term; short-term on estimated net revenue, long term from retained customer with expected LTV/annual sales. check 1point3acres for more.
5. As a Doordash user, what could be reason for churn?
- wait time, unstable platform, competitor advantage, change of spending pattern, credit card linkage with other app etc.. .и
6. for wait time, how to do define and understand best wait time estimation and display format for different parties.
