有Fall2020或者明年一整年准备Gap的同学吗？

坐标加拿大，fall2020美国phd新生，想gap/defer一年回国，但是又怕回了国再出来北美会很困难。。。这怎么搞啊

1. 申请OPT需要 Have completed at least one academic year of full-time study in the U.S. 也就是说2021Fall 回来，2022Spring毕业申请OPT最后一个学期不能是 reduced load， 必须full time。
2. 根据ICE 07/07，对于continue student有可能回国上网课还能保持住F1 status。我们学校（Hybrid）ISS发邮件统一说可以，问了advisor的确是这样（然后群里马上有人开始转租2020fall的lease。。。。
但是我不确定ICE这是只针对 entirely online school来说可以这样还是咋的，因为07/06 的guidance说 only entirely online school may maintain， 而07/07 FAQ如下，并未提到entirely online
同有gap一年想法，毕竟今年秋招并不会好到哪去。

我也看到这个FAQ了，我们学校没给官方说法但是我Advisor说是感觉是给Fully online的，但是他说他们还在等关于这个政策的澄清。

层主，求问曾经用过reduced load, 整个项目中有完成一年的full time study，那最后一学期还可以一门课吗

OPT的requirement是完成过一年还是毕业前完成一年..?我记得好像是毕业前那一年你要保持身份，不过还是以ISO说得为主

OPT这个。我还有一年毕业，如果我下学期去，那么我就是2021Spring  2月左右申请，并且那个学期我只有一门课，貌似就是你说的reduced load这种类型，但是我的同学都是这样的哎。
所以如果我gap半年，我还有一年，我2021 Spring去，2021 Fall申请OPT也可以？
其实在国内上网课好像对这个有影响，我问学校是说人要在美国才可以。

应该是毕业的那个学期是之前的那个学期需要在美国，不然为什么有些项目一年就可以申请OPT了呢？我是这么理解的啦。不过我学校说上过一年不算的，算毕业的那段时间。

gap的话不知道明年返签f1好不好签啊
