Northwestern春季入学拿不到OPT？

前几天询问在西北大学申请第二个master时被鄙视了，顺便无比仔细的看了下FAQs，好吧我知道我该死我应该早点仔细看。。。
于是看到了这样一段：
Can I apply to begin the MS program in the winter or spring quarters?

Yes, under certain conditions.

Winter and spring admission is available for domestic applicants. However, it is rare for international students to be accepted to start in the winter or spring quarters unless they have previously completed a full year of undergraduate study at a US university.

International students who begin their MS studies in a winter or spring quarter may not be eligible to do a summer internship or work in the US after earning their degrees. This is because OPT (optional practical training) authorization requires completion of "full-time F-1 status for a full academic year" which at Northwestern is interpreted to mean three consecutive quarters of study. Thus, students who do not begin study in the US in the fall will not have completed the three required quarters before the summer. In addtion, there are no ME courses available in the summer except for research credits. Thus almost all winter-start and many spring-start international students will not be eligible to take a job in the US after earning their degree under OPT because most students will have a break in full-time registration during the summer.

虽然本人不是美帝海本，可这第三段话说的还是让人心惊胆战啊！这种情况貌似适用于很多MS学期短的学校，那岂不是彻底悲剧了？

W大去年写过的关于春秋入学寒暑毕业的一篇文章：美国留学：春季入学 vs 秋季入学，暑假毕业 vs 寒假毕业，哪个最有利于将来找工作？

现在是彻底迷茫了，感觉官方FAQs和W大的文章对不上号，可又说不出是哪里错了。。。求各位解答，也求西北大的前辈们来说说这问题。。。

拖着毕业的话，貌似不修学分就不能算在academic year里面吧，然后再不让多修赶着你毕业的话。。。no idea。。。
总之还是再多问问吧，总会有办法的。

对NWU的ME不太了解，又是一个phd和ms分得很开的学校。。。

这个意思是OPT必须要完成完整的一学年的学业，在西北，如果春季入学，在夏天就没法完成1学年的学业，所以不能拿到OPT，除非你拖到第二年夏天毕业，这样可以。秋季入学好处是学完1年后刚好夏天OPT。是不是？

还不允许报第二个相近专业的master。。。学校人基本都建议申phd

看这样子是说一般国际生应该没法申春季入学了，所以，想想觉得忽略这段话好了。还是以另外两篇关于OPT的文章为准好了

我也想说，既然第一句都说了一般只有秋季入学，不知道lz还在研究什么。。。难道lz被冬季/春季录了？

如果春季入学，4个quarter毕业，春-秋冬春（正好一年），这样毕业的时候还是可以有opt用的
