Research Interest: We are passionate about the intersection of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Multimedia, Cognitive Science, Video Production, all centering around Video Understanding & Creation:

• Human action/activity/event detection, prediction and reasoning
• Creative AI for human co-design, video generation
• Multi-modal, cross-modal learning
• AR/VR, Pose and 3D shape
• Robotic AI, etc.

• With the recent significant increase of video creation and consumption, video is no doubt the next frontier in AI - often working on a right problem is more important than working hard.
• In your PhD junior years, I will always provide hands-on instructions or engage experts who can instruct you at fine details. Also, I will include co-mentors who can input advises from different perspectives and expand your connections.
• Our lab has strong connections with world-class labs in universities and companies e.g. Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft. I will refer you to visit/intern in these places.
