The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University is seeking a Ph.D. student to work under the guidance of Dr. Alison Cupples beginning January 2014. The project will focus on the biodegradation of contaminants of emerging concern in agroecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess a M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with LC-MS/MS and molecular methods.
The selected candidate will receive a competitive stipend, full tuition, and benefits. Interested applicants are requested to provide a 2-page cover letter describing their previous research experiences and career objectives, their curriculum vitae (including GRE and TOEFL scores as applicable), and the names of at least three references, as a single PDF file, to Dr. Alison Cupples (cupplesa@msu.edu). |
