客气凉凉信 from USC MSCS general

12月14号提交的第一个track的申请，1月份询问我补交材料，回复了之后，到目前都没有decision的消息。所以一个星期前在contact form发消息询问decision结果。今天收到了回复，如下：

Thank you for your inquiry.

We have completed our academic evaluation of your application and notified your intended graduate department. Because of the varied factors involved in the graduate department review process, we cannot give you an estimate of when you might expect the decision.

Please make sure that you have completed all of your application requirements as outlined here.  For more information, or to check the status of your application, you should contact the USC Viterbi School of Engineering via email at viterbi.gradadmission@usc.edu.


We appreciate your patience and cooperation. Thank you again for your interest in the University of Southern California.

哎我感觉这基本上就是拒了（顶多WL)。发个帖攒攒人品。给小伙伴们一个参考。

补充内容 (2021-3-20 19:45):
来个后续，之后我又给USC department发了邮件，4-5天之后他们回了我：
“The date an application is submitted does not determine the date an admission decision will be issued. For complete applications submitted by the application deadline, admission decisions are issued throughout the review cycle. After a decision has been made, the decision letter should be available online at you.usc.edu.  ”

求再给孩子一些offer吧😭😭

我感觉没有拒绝鸭……耐心等等吧～

我理解这封信的意思就是结果我们已经出了，由于是学院来决定什么时候放，我现在不能跟你说。我就想，如果是正儿八经的AD的话学院不早发了？有必要一直拖么。加上目前看地里还没有海本的拒信，所以感觉不太妙。

我看他们的回复，感觉是让你问学院部门，他们并没有决定的权力。不过南加州今年发的确实又晚又慢，等等呗，不要催，催的话可能认为你有了别的学校的offer，就把你拒了

楼主，我是上周问的，收到的回复如下：
In response to your email, an admission decision has not yet been made on your application. The majority of Fall 2021 admission decisions will be made by April 15. Unfortunately, it is not possible to say when the department faculty committees will review a specific application.

但我提了我很想去你们学校，如果你们能早出的话对我很有帮助。

收到了和lz一摸一样的回复，感觉意思是他们只是完成了他们的工作，至于结果那是学院审的。但是也确实，如果是ad应该早发了。
