Dr. Yidan Hu will join the Department of Computing Security at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Fall 2021 as a tenure-track assistant professor. She is looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students in the area of security and privacy. The RA positions are expected to start from Fall 2021 or Spring 2022.
Requirement
Students with CS, CE, or mathematics-related backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Students with the following backgrounds are preferred.
1) have submitted/published papers in conferences or journals.
2) research experience in security and privacy
3) knowledge of differential privacy, authentication, and crowdsourcing.
About Yidan Hu
Her research interest is security and privacy in networked and distributed systems including wireless networks, mobile crowdsensing systems, cloud computing, and private data analysis. Her work has published in top conferences and journals, such as INFOCOM, ICNP, and IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking. In particular, she plans to explore private data analysis in the next few years.
