RequirementsIoT is a multi-disciplinary area about the convergence of various fundamental enabling technologies.  We are interested in candidates who can create a multi-disciplinary IoT curriculum and pursue high-impact research in a science, technology and engineering-oriented academic environment.



Applicants with a Ph.D. degree who have worked on one or more of the following research topics are encouraged to apply:

· Information theory and its applications to resilient, secure, and private distributed computing (also known as coded distributed computing);

  · Federated/distributed machine learning and trustworthy machine learning;

· Protocol design and system implementation of distributed systems and/or blockchains.




The appointees are expected to play a key role in advancing the frontier of theoretical and/or practical research and demonstrate strong potential for securing research grants.





Preferred qualifications:



Strong mathematical foundations on

· Probability and stochastic processes;

· Background in information theory, learning theory, and optimizations;

· Cryptography: secure multi-party computing, homomorphic encryption.



Strong practical computer science background in

· Strong programming skills;

· Experience in building distributed systems.
