Dr. Andi Wang is now recruiting a motivated Ph.D. student focused on systems engineering, advanced manufacturing, and smart manufacturing, starting from Spring/Fall 2022. The students will enroll in the Ph.D. program in systems engineering at The Polytechnic School of Arizona State University. Financial support will be provided.
The tentative research area will be developing data-driven models for engineering applications based on domain knowledge, and the integration of the physical models and statistical and machine learning models.
An applicant with a solid engineering background and strong motivation for data-related research is a perfect match.
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. degree in automation science, mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, energy engineering, or other related fields;
Exposure or experience in physical system modeling through finite-element analysis is a plus;
Experience/strong motivation for data-related research;
