Funded Ph.D. positions are available in Dr. Liu's group  in the Industrial, Manufacturing, & Systems Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). The students will also work with the Institute for Predictive Performance Methodology (IPPM) at the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI). Self-motivated individuals who have research experience in one or more of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. positions.
  * mechanics of composite materials
  * machine learning
  * finite element simulation
In addition, experiences in programming (fortran, c++, python) are highly desired. Interested applicants please send an email to Dr. Liu with an up-to-date CV and transcript. This position is available starting Spring 2022.
