美本硕关于CMU的英语成绩要求想请教一下

楼主2014-19年在美国读的本硕，商科专业，目前有转码的打算，比较看好CMU的MISM，但是CMU的English proficiency requirement实在是有点令人困惑。

英语成绩的豁免条件是在一些英语国家连续学习或工作5年或以上。所以就很尴尬地不确定自己4年本科+1年硕士是否满足5年要求，还是说必须要5*365天待在美国才算5年。因为按后者算的话我是14年8月入境到19年6月底出境，差了一个多月才能算5年，这还没算假期回国的时间。
发邮件问了admission office但是只有一个学生回复了学校网站上的原文，并没有解决问题。

申请界面里可以提交waiver request，需要写明在美国停留的时间。但还有一个问题是如果waiver不通过，也没有写明计划参加英语考试的日期的话，CMU网站上写不会接受没在申请里写明日期的成绩。

想请问地里有没有了解的同学知道这种情况怎么办？

学校网站原文如下：
All applicants whose native language (mother tongue) is NOT English are required to submit an official score report from the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo.
The only exceptions are for students who have worked or studied for five or more years in Australia, Botswana, Canada, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, and/or Zambia.
Earning a previous degree at an institution where English is the main language of instruction does not qualify an applicant for a waiver of this requirement unless that student spent 5 or more years in continuous study in one or more of these countries.

收到了学校最新的回复：

We do not accept other test scores or academic/professional achievement as a substitute for the English language requirement, but, even though you are slightly under the 5 year mark, you are close enough that you can still request the waiver.

学位其实不能代替，但是对于五年的项目还是可以适当放宽，要求没那么严格，大家自己感受这个度吧。

人家不是说了如果有英语授课学位（美国比如说）就可以免吗？你这个都没办法理解吗？

读了4+1两个学位就是5年啦

原文是“Earning a previous degree…does not qualify…”所以才会困惑额T_T
我又追问了一下学校，在等回复…

不需要5*365 五个学年OK

感觉其实还是看时间的，只是对于5年program要求没那么严格，可能放宽，大家自己拿捏。
