Uber Marketplace Pricing/Fares组HM直招senior DS和DS TLM

我是HM本人，手上有两个HC，一个DS (recently renamed to Applied Scientist) TLM/Manager，一个Senior DS (with potential to transition to TLM).

关于Uber
个人认为公司目前的估值是被低估了，所以现在依然是一个比较好的加入时机。虽然Covid在2020年重创了rides business (down +50%)，但随着疫苗普及以及大家逐渐无法忍受长时间的居家，rides business已经开始回暖并且呈现跟pre-Covid时期相同的growth rate。值得call out的是rides business alone在保持高速增长的同时已经实现盈利，假如没有Covid Uber应该在2020年就已经hit profitability goal了。同时delivery business在Covid期间大幅增长，给Uber的platform strategy创造了更多的想象空间。

关于Team
Uber最近rebrand CAS下面的DS to Applied Scientist，organization的介绍可以参考前面的链接。这次招人的组是Rides Pricing以及Fares。这里贴一下我自己的sourcing pitch:
Interesting and technical problem space
We use causal machine/deep learning models to estimate heterogeneous demand elasticity;  structural production function to model the marketplace equilibrium effect; multi-arm bandit to explore various pricing rules; and even more!

Measurable huge business impact
We are impact driven and very dedicated to measuring what we achieve. We have budget for various experiments to measure and iterate. For example, market level switchback to measure network effect; 6 months user level A/B to track long-term and sequential effect.

Close collaboration with academia and cutting-edge research
We work closely with professors from universities like Stanford and Cornell on fields that might not even be well studied in academia. For example we recently worked with Stefan Wager on Treatment Allocation under Uncertain Costs (https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.11066) which is a relatively new area in the causal inference community.

Strong and diversified team
On our team we have PhD with great expertise in Econ, OR and Stats. We work very closely with our partner engineering and product team. We can touch every single component/stage for the whole lifecycle of a product.

Requirements
BS/MS with 5+ yoe or Phd with 3+ yoe. 希望你是senior level (L5a in Uber ladder) 并有非常solid的quantitative background (Econ, OR, Stats, Math, ML，同时也有很强的problem solving skill，能在ill-defined problem space中guide yourself。

对于manager role，需要你有official manager经验 (with offcial direct reports). 对于另外一个Senior IC role没有硬性的manager experience要求但希望你有potential grow into one.
