Funded PhD position in Plant Biology at Purdue University

The laboratory of Yun Zhou in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University is seeking highly motivated applicants for the PhD position starting from Fall of 2022. The research assistantship of a PhD student provides fully financial support including the tuition waiver andstipend. English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) is required for non-native English-speakinginternational applicants. GRE is not required for the graduate application.


The lab aims to determine the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying shoot development and plant stem cellhomeostasis, through a combination of molecular genetics, live cell imaging, biochemistry and functional genomic approaches (Zhou et al., Nature 2015; Zhou et al., Science 2018; Han et al., Nature Communications 2020). Students with BS or MS in biology / plant biology or a related field, with great passion in studying plant molecular genetics or developmental biology, are encouraged to apply.
