阿拉巴马大学化工系招收博士研究生

一、导师介绍：
  黄强，1997年毕业于浙江大学，获得学士学位；2004年于美国路易斯安那州立大学获得博士学位。之后在美国纽约IBM TJ Watson 研究中心任职，先后从事博士后，研究员，高级研究员，项目经理（2004 - 2015）。2016年起任职于美国阿拉巴马大学化工系，2021年转为终身教职（tenured associate professor）。长期从事电化学工程在半导体，计算机芯片，太阳能，可穿戴设备，量子计算等电子器件生产中的应用。发表发表论文40余篇，拥有美国专利40余项，领导开发的电化学应用化学品已商业化，开发的电化学过程已在半导体生产中应用，指导的博士生及博士后先后就职于Intel， Western Digital，IBM，Lam Research，Applied Materials，BASF等世界知名企业。
二、研究方向：
  电化学过程，半导体和微电子材料，量子计算机材料，工程数字模拟
三、奖学金：
      每年 $24,000 – $28,000，免学费和医疗保险
四、研究生入学基本要求：
  英语成绩 (IBT 79， GRE可免)，本科GPA 3.0

Supervisor:
Dr. Qiang Huang is a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Alabama. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 1997 and his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in 2004. He spent 11 years at IBM TJ Watson Research Center, from a Postdoc to a Senior Scientist and a Project Manager, before he joined University Alabama in 2016. He has published 40+ papers, and has been granted 40+ US patents, and has commercialized several chemical products in the market and implemented processes for semiconductor manufacturing. His Ph.D. students and Postdoc mentees frequently join Fortune 500 companies such as Intel, Western Digital, IBM, Lam Research, Applied Materials, BASF etc.

Electrochemistry and electrochemical processes, Semiconductor and microelectronic materials, Quantum computer materials, Numerical simulation
Scholarship: $24,000 to 28,000/year + tuition + health insurance
General requirement: (1) CV, transcript (GPA > 3.0), TOEFL > 79; (2) Self-motivated and positive attitude. (3) M.S. degree can be a big plus.
