Dr. Yingbin Liang's group at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University has several Research Assistantships for Ph.D. students in the area of Machine Learning, Large-scale Optimization, and Big Data Science starting from Aug. 2022. Dr. Liang's group has been a leading research team in theoretical machine learning, reinforcement learning, optimization and information theory, and their research has been published in the top machine learning and AI conferences including NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, etc. Students graduated from her group have taken positions in top US schools, research institutions, and AI companies. Students with strong backgrounds in statistics, mathematics, optimization, computer science, and electrical engineering are encouraged to apply.
